Fall Protection Systems

All the safety systems we install are Kee Safety products.
Fall Arrest systems:
Permanent fall arrest systems are the perfect safety solution for all your maintenance or work to be carried out at height. Fall arrest systems come in a variety of styles depending on the nature and location it is to be installed. All of our systems can be installed to any structure regardless of size or shape by our team of highly qualified steeplejacks and rope access technicians. All our systems comply with BS EN 353-1:2002.

Vertical systems:
This type of system is ideal for chimneys, silos, masts, cranes etc where regular access is required. Vertical systems come in two main types:
A cable system:
This is designed on a tensioned stainless steel cable, which the user connects to using a sophisticated fall arrest device, in the event of a fall the device will lock off and prevent the shortest possible drop whilst minimizing the forces applied to the body.
Track and ladder system:
This system uses a ladder with a fixed track running up the centre, which when in use the operator fits a fall arrest carriage into the track whilst he ascends and descends. In the event off a fall the device will lock of immediately. This is suitable for providing safe access to any structure and can incorporate turntables to allow the carriage to continue in different directions. This system can be supplied in Galvanised steel, stainless steel and anodised aluminium. This style can be supplied with folding ladders if aesthetics is an issue.

Horizontal Systems:
Flat and pitched roof systems are made up of a tensioned stainless steel cable and provide fall protection and fall restraint where needed. This system can be fixed to any type of roof, whether, felt, concrete, cladding or tiled.
Walkways:
Kee® Walk provides a safe, anti-slip, level walking surface for anyone who needs to access a roof in the course of their work. It provides a clear demarcation route which protects the roof surface from unnecessary damage and uniformly distributes the pedestrian load across its surface.
Kee® Walk is designed for modern roof types including trapezoidal profile composite or built up and standing seam metal roofs. It can be used on flat, barrel and sloping roofs, with steps and a traverse option allowing access to be created for virtually any roof configuration from 0 to 35 degrees. The product complies with the test requirements of EN 516:2006.

Edge Protection:
We are pleased to offer specialist installation of Kee Klamp edge protection systems. These systems can be installed to almost any type of roof and can even be installed without penetrating the roof using counter weights if necessary.
Eyebolt installation and testing:
We are pleased to offer specialist installation and testing for all types of eyebolts. Our eyebolts can be installed into a wide variety of surfaces to provide a safe point of anchorage for fall arrest or work restraint purposes.
Fall arrest anchor devices:
A fall arrest eyebolt needs to be suitably placed in the event of a fall the user receives none or very little injury. This includes a position where the eyebolt is correctly loaded. Fall arrest eyebolts are designed for fall arrest purposes only.
Fall arrest anchor devices can be supplied as fixed or removable. The removable anchor has a permanently fixed socket that is concealed by a flush fitting cover. Therefore the eyebolt can be used as and when it is needed. The advantage of this is that it offers a visually unobstructive solution where this is a concern e.g. a listed building.

Work positioning:
Eyebolts used for work positioning or industrial rope access, are subject to greater strain than fall arrest anchor devices, therefore they must comply with LOLER regulations.
Testing and certification:
Our team of highly trained operatives are capable of testing all types of eyebolts in any situation.
* Fall arrest eyebolts need to be tested annually.
* Work positioning eyebolts need to be tested at least every six months.
All eyebolts installed and/or tested by us will be tagged and a certificate of conformance will be issued.
The positioning of all eyebolts should always be determined by a competent person and must be installed in accordance to BS 7883 and EN 795
