Benefits of Planned Maintenance:-
You may have just invested in New Silos or require your existing Silos Refurbished. You may be asking yourself - Is it worth paying for a Planned Maintenance Agreement?
It makes good economic sense to have your Silos regularly Inspected and Cleaned.
Air-borne Contaminants, Pollution and Weather Conditions all gradually help to degredate the external coatings, and ultimately can result in corrosion of the substrate. With regular inspections and cleaning, not only are the storage silos more aesthetically pleasing to your customers but any remedial work found to be necessary can be carried out immediately, minimising the risk of ingress of water to your product and reducing the spread of any corrosion.
This also applies to the internal substrates of your silos although it is the dry or liquid bulk product that can cause degradation of the coating over time.
Coatings are essential as they provide corrosion and abrasion resistance. If you are storing food products, plastics, chemicals, liquids or dry products, the type of coating is probably the most important factor to consider. Regular Inspections and Cleaning of the internal and external coatings can often extend the life of your silos and can mean less major maintenance during the life of the silo and minimise the risk of contaminants entering your product.
